Before 1936, what would become Tretrid was 47 city-states fighting for dominance. The city-state of Tretridia conquered all the other cities and established a monarchy. [to be continued]

From 1936 to its collapse in 2005, Tretrid was a monarchy, ruled by a king. The king had the power of life and death over his subjects. He was essentially a tyrant, as the government was basically the king. Turmoil started to erupt in 1997 after King Froemeous "The Terrible" II assassinated the previous king and had all the old king's deputies assassinated. People started getting angry faster than the king could execute them. The king soon had to use military force.

It was a long fight, it was a bloody fight. When the armies of the king started to attack the people, it just made people more angry. Militias were formed. Arms manufacturers denied the army weapons. If a farmer's fields were about to get overrun, he would burn them down. On February 2005, Froemeous abdicated and fled. On March 10, 2008,  Froemeous The Terrible was captured and subsequently hanged. Even though the king was dead, though, things were out of control. The nation spiraled into anarchy.

When the last of the king's forces that had fought after the king died were captured, people turned into making repairs, though the domestic instability contributed to the fall of the First Republic, as the war was still fresh in people's minds.

The First Republic of Tretrid lasted from Feburary 9, 2016 to May 20, 2016. Back then, the nation was not very interested in the affairs of [[region/The East Pacific|the East Pacific]], so it left TEP for the Royal Alliance III (member states had better rights than the citizens under the Monarchy), but is soon crumbled and ceased to exist, and the fledgling nation found itself in [[region/The Rejected Realms|the Rejected Realms]]. Then, being a WA member nation, it landed into a major gaffe with the [[WA]] because <ooc>the player used the wrong computer</ooc> (no, it is supposed to look like that). Due to the gaffe, the First Republic crumbled until, by May 20, it was no more.

At this point, the nation was in anarchy again. People were somewhat happy to be free from laws at first, but then murders occurred with nobody to apprehend the killers. People started to push aside memories of war, and decided to create a new government.

After a few months and ineffective (nonexistent) attempts to revive the government, it was clear that something was really needed to happen to  revive the republic. And that happened on August 5, 2016. The Second Republic National Council (SRNC) was formed even though there was no constitution yet. Adam Wilson was elected to the position of Prime Minister, while the SRNC elected the first and only prime minister of the First Republic, Matthew Irvine, to the position of National Council President. Tretrid returned to TEP, and on September, officially became part of the region. On October 1, a constitution was ratified.

Tretrid was one of the nations that declared war on the Fire Pact in the [[Four Days War]]. Its only role in the first day was to enforce the blockade, but when Asendavia attempted an assault on the city of Draeset, the navy was dispatched to counter them. An EMP was fired from Fort Johnston to the Eternal Wrath to temporarily incapacitate it, but it was inoperable for three weeks. When the Eternal Wrath returned to commission, it fired on [[Myriad Station]].

On September 14, 2016, Tretrid became a citizen of the East Pacific. Plenty of interesting things (which in this mythical place called reality is called ''roleplay'') happened, including it taking part in another nation's civil war. However, it also became a politician in the region. On November 3, Tretrid was officially admitted to the Magisteruim, the legislature of the East Pacific.
