New Chauvin, officially referred to as The Federal Democratic Republic of New Chauvin, is a country located east of the mainland of Kuomintang. New Chauvin is also located to the west of Greece-Serbia, to the east of Antipodean, and to the north of Guomindang. The Federal Democratic Republic consists of 5 states, including 2 islands. It is the 5th largest nation in the Union of Nationalists according to total area, and the 4th largest in population. It is one of the Union's most economical and political nations, due to its massive industry and free and open elections. The climate and geographical features of New Chauvin are highly diverse on the ambiguous mainland, as they feature many types of plants and animals.

Encouraged by reports of a great land in the north-easterly sector of The East Pacific, France sent a group of settlers; lead by Norman Peterson of Rochefort; to find this land. On January 21st, 1895; during a storm, the expedition crashed into what is now known to be the mainland of New Chauvin, the only survivors being that of Norman Peterson and his deputy captain Benjamin Giles. Economic and Naval issues between New Chauvin and France lead to the colonists demanding independence. The Independence Act was signed by Norman Peterson on May 8th, 1921, days before his death.

After the Republic gained independence, the New Chauvinian population began the process of vigorous exploration and colonization of the region. Led by several doctrines, New Chauvin led a series of expansions, which gave an increase of knowledge and wealth for the nation. The expansions, explorations, and colonizing included cultural/economic trading between the region and New Chauvin, acquiring new islands, and even forming many new nations; most notably New Entwistle. Other nations founded by New Chauvin include the Moche Isles, the Saridus Islands, and Roytonburg. These nations are noted to be a part of New Chauvin today.

New Chauvin is a developed country, and it has one of the region's best GDP per capita rankings. The New Chauvinian economy is thriving, with mass manufacturing throughout the nation. The largest industry in the nation is the information technology sector, which has helped to advance the already well functioning educational and economic foundation of the nation. New Chauvin also has one of the highest median income per household in the Union. The highest amount of the budget is currently focused on Industry; which accommodates for roughly 22% of the Chauvinian budget. All of this has led New Chauvin into having one of the Union's more prominent economical status', one of the best military and education systems, and one of the most influential nations in the Union.

Geography

The first state of New Chauvin is Caleb, named after the tribe leader that helped Norman Peterson and Benjamin Giles take hold of the land. It is the wealthiest state of the Republic, and also houses key governmental buildings and landmarks. With a population of 5 Million, the state is known for its high rising skyscrapers and luxurious mansions, housing many of New Chauvin's celebrities. It is also the location of the countries capital city, Chauvin, which can be found to the south west of the state. The New Chauvin Wolves are also stationed here in the Chauvin Arena which withholds a total capacity of 500,000. Shops and malls are a common sight and it is very busy in both day and night. It has its own underground metro, as well as sewage systems and bunkers. It is a flat part of New Chauvin, with the highest elevation being 20ft. It is full, but with all the demolition and building work going on, the view always seems to change.

The second state is Caven. Housing the middle class of New Chauvin, the state holds many developing cities and towns. The state was founded in 1896 by Benjamin Giles. Medium sized business' take home to this above average lifestyle, and the residents of Caven are quiet and friendly. It is also home to the third largest city in New Chauvin, Valletta, and the state as a whole has 3 Million citizens. Some landmarks can be found here, including the Museum of Science and Technology and the Countries largest war memorial. The battle of Nassu was fought here in 1892 as the last of the remaining tribes were either becoming New Chauvinian or being forced out. The state provides 55% of the countries power thanks to the solar panel development that is being manufactured in the towns and cities. It has a hilly terrain, but none big enough to call mountains. It is also the greenest state in New Chauvin.

New Chauvin's third state is Quantrill. Founded shortly after President Peterson's death in 1921, the state was made entirely for the working class. Factories and Mills see the states clouds be replaced with ash and soot. Populated by 6 Million workers, the industry sees a whopping 60% of New Chauvin's entire economy come from Quantrill. Mines used to be a common sight, but have now been replaced by technological advancements and means such as fracking. Despite the hard working conditions, the inhabitants of Quantrill are a happy bunch thanks to the great pay they earn. They are the most patriotic of the 5 states and thanks to this a heap of the NCAF (New Chauvin Armed Forces) soldiers come from the state. Quantrill is a flat state, with a highest elevation of 23ft. It is without saying the least eco-friendly state of them all.

Tular is the fourth state of New Chauvin. Discovered in 1939, region of Tular was designed entirely to be a state to withhold the New Chauvin Military (NCAF) with the countries largest military base, Camp Sharbino being build there. It was made after the announcement of World War II, although the country was not directly involved or associated in the war. The state sits next to Quantrill, and a few factories can be seen creeping in from the Quantrill/Tular border. Other than that, Tular's population is entirely built up from the soldiers stationed at either one of the 186 barracks, each being over the size of a regular football field, making the state the largest one. It is built upon a desert known as the Tular Desert (hence the name). This makes it the flattest state, with a peak elevation of 15ft.

The newest state of New Chauvin, Mausley, was an established state in 1967. With little population, not much is known of the state. Mysterious buildings can be seen from the Hills of Caven and Skyscrapers of Caleb, but nobody has dared to go and see them. Locals say that they think they are governmental facilities built for weapon testing, such as nuclear bombs. The state seems to have been built inside a crater, with the edges of this crater acting as the boundaries. This makes for mountains of up to 200ft in elevation. The highest, Mt. Mausley (hence the name) has only been conquered once by a man named James Micheals in 1992. A Statue dedicated to him can be found inside the Museum of Science and Technology. Though information of the state is limited, the government does not stop people entering the premises. All except for one, HYPOTIS Six. This is the only place other than Camp Sharbino that New Chauvin Citizens cannot enter. This is the last state to be made in New Chauvin (correct since October 2015).

Economy

New Chauvin's free market economy is based on two resources, ever since its inception: Technology and land. Providing advanced devices for both citizens and the military, this is the backbone of the economy of the Republic. Also, ranchers and farmers hold great sway in the Republic. During Hills' presidency, anti-cartel regulations were implemented to limit the acreage and Factories one man could control. However, with his death, pressure from the Stockmen's Association and the Republican Farmer's Committee certainly helped erode them, until President Randal overturned them completely. As a result, since 1968 much of the Republic's farming has been monopolized by agricultural barons and incredibly wealthy individuals who exert a lot of influence thanks to their money. Their success also led to the emergence of cottage industries, such as the luxury goods manufacture and pseudo-journalism reporting on the latest purchases, commissions, and life lessons of the new rich and famous. Other branches of industry have also developed. Light industry, including tools, clothes making, and other manufacturing, form a significant part of the Republic's industrial output. The ever-expanding trade routes led to the rise of powerful merchant houses which continue to all but completely dominate all trade within New Chauvin.

New Chauvin introduced its own money around the turn of the 20th century and initially it relied on coins minted from gold. By 1960, the economy of New Chauvin dominated the East Coast and coins became universal currency, used by New Chauvin. In 2015, the New Chauvin dollar is valued at about 20% of a £1 coin and only 10% 1 Euro. In Europe, these notes can be seen in the $5, $20, and $100 denominations. The notes are issued by the Republic Reserve Bank located in Quantrill. In 2016, the current Treasurer of the Republic and head of the New Chauvin Treasury is John Michael Henderson; his signature can be found on the front face of all New Chauvin notes found in the New Chauvin territories.

Society

The Republic prohibits persecution and discrimination on the basis of gender, ethnicity, sexuality, or religious belief (so long as said religion does not advocate violence). In general, the Republic is successful in its enforcement of equality laws. However, since the death of President Hills and the election of President Randal, there has been some retrenchment. The reactionary undercurrent, especially among males, led to a disproportionately high number of promotions for male military officers, while discourse arguing the differences between males and females has reappeared. Regardless of the setbacks, slavery is outlawed in all New Chauvin territories. Homosexuality is generally accepted in the core states of the Republic, though frontier territories away from the more civilized center tend to show prejudice. During her long presidency, Hills enacted legislation that limited the number of cattle head and the acreage of fields that could be owned by a single person, limiting the power of the Stockmen's Association and the Republican Farmer's Committee. Following her death, the restrictions were slowly eroded away by each new president and finally overturned during the presidency of Matthew Randal. As a result, wealthy farmers and ranchers exert a disproportionate amount of influence, despite having just one vote on paper.

Abstractly, New Chauvin represents progress; while other countries wage wars, citizens of New Chauvin enjoy the many luxuries of a steady economy, healthcare, laws and legitimate government, not to mention the one of the largest military in the east pacific to ensure they have a good front line of defense. The large population of New Chauvin means it is composed of a highly diverse number of individuals, from highly refined inhabitants of the Republic's grand urban centers, through merchants and frontier settlers, to the large numbers of farmers and ranchers responsible for the Republic's economic might. That economic power was one of the key factors in the transformation of society between 1902 and 1958. As jobs ceased being a major concern for the vast majority of the New Chauvin citizens, the problem of collective welfare has been largely superseded by concerns about individual prosperity. People providing services free of charge are now the exception, rather than the rule, with skilled workers routinely charging for their services, from tailors to surgeons. New Chauvin citizens who can still make a living exclusively by entertainment purposes are a rare sight. The combination of these cultural and economic factors led to the rebirth of wage labor: Most citizens have to seek an employer at mill, factory or farm and work to earn their keep and earn money necessary to support their family. But these jobs are easy to find in one of the many mills and farms in New Chauvin.

The citizens themselves hold a variety of opinions on these developments. While many praise the economic strength hammered out in the furnaces of New Chauvin, many other decry the loss of communal spirit. Some will even curse the selfishness of other citizens, usually while pursuing goals that are just as selfish.

Armed Forces

The New Chauvin Armed Forces (often abbreviated to the New Chauvin Army, or simply NCAF) was created in 1931 by the War Office and Committee. Administered by General Reedus, the Armies home and HQ is in Camp Sharbino, situated in Tular. The army follows a ranking system with sub-ranks which goes as follows:

-Bandoleer -Mantle -Trooper

-Ranger -Veteran Ranger -Elite Veteran Ranger

-Heavy Armour -Tank Operator

The army has been in only a handful of battles, and has won more than they have lost. In modern times, the army has had no serious encounters since 1983. However, the army are usually called upon if a riot breaks out in the Republic. The citizens of New Chauvin take little notice of the army, but acknowledge their power and existence between the states.
