Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2016 (also known as MEHVEH 2016, VMV2016) the first edition of the music contest, which selected the Britonish act for the 47th WorldVision Song Contest, which was being held in Carnise, the capital city of Ekoz. The competition was organised by Brityunik Vefecosoin Cairkovoin (BVC), Britonisea's public broadcaster which focused on home-grown shows rather than international ones. The competition took place in four weeks, raging between the 12th March 2016 and 9th April 2016.

The format of the show was released days before it got under way: 24 songs are chosen and are put in to three groups of eight. The draws stay the same. The songs are performed every week for three weeks before reaching the semi Finals. As 3rd and 4th qualifies to the Semi Finals, we would have 6 songs in that draw. However, songs are put together for a battle. On Friday evening, the two songs who have received the highest points would verse each other - the winner going through to the finals. On Saturday evening, the two.songs which received the middle points verse each other and the same thing happens for the two lowest songs. In the finals, we use a mixture of WorldVision and WHF's system. We award 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 from each international jury including the Britonish public votes, Britonish Jury votes and neighbour votes (mounting for 50% of the overall score). The winner will represent Britonisea in the upcoming WorldVision Song Contest while "The Voice RU" will be used to send a WHF Act. In the heats, points will be awarded 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7.

The shows were hosted by a sole presenter, Ivy Fletcher. The winning song of the competition would represent Britonisea in Carnise, and would end up performing in the second half of the competition, in position 19.

Format

Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2016 was the first contest being organised by Brityunik Vefecosoin Cairkovoin, and they intended to expand the national competition for the search for Britonisea's song on a national basis, instead of one city host one Final. Because of the large amount of cities and arenas that wanted to host the contest (9), the national broadcaster decided to use a lottery to decide which cities would host the contest, and what they would host. After the lottery, the three Semi Finals were to be held in the Ice Hall in Eaux (12 March), Winter Hall in Solice (19 March), Loueske Arena in Loueske (25 March), for Semi Final 1, 2 and 3 respectively. The nationwide famous Kitsune Arena in St Kings Bay hosted the first battle, while The Grand Hall in neighbouring Doportedas hosted the other two Battle matches. The Grand Final was chosen to be held in The Telm Arena, in Telm City. The cities, Junterapten, Quickenden and Luton & St Kings Bay were promised to host the competition over the next two years - and they did.

The executive producer for the show was Fabio McAlpine, who only held that position for one year, taking over as the Britonish Head of Delegation for Britonisea after this date. Jason Timberland was announced as the project manager.
