Introduction

The Federal People's Republic of Margora is a massive, efficient nation, ruled by Naddam Sadah with an even hand, and notable for its ubiquitous missile silos, keen interest in outer space, and digital currency. The hard-nosed, hard-working population of 1.745 billion Margorans have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The frighteningly efficient Margoran economy, worth 207 trillion Bitcoins a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Tourism, Retail, and Soda Sales. Black market activity is extensive. Average income is an impressive 119,096 Bitcoins, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 337,132 per year while the poor average 33,642, a ratio of 10.0 to 1.

Creative compliance measures ensure that high-ranking officials live in luxury while the country's coffers collect cobwebs, organ donation is compulsory, it's a common sight to see angry commuters with grenade launchers mounted on their vehicles, and the new 'Who Wants To Be A Politician' election debate auditions are more popular than the debates themselves. Crime, especially youth-related, is a major problem, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Margora's national animal is the Winged horse Chollima, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Politics

The Federal People's Republic of Margora is notable for its national politics, mostly because of the interesting elections that take place here. In July of 2017, when the Second election was held, Ulard Hallar, an opposition member, led the polls, and claimed victory in the general election, yet lost in a stunning comeback from President Dakka Mathias. The Current President of Margora is Naddam Sadah, since December 17, 2017 upon the resignation of 1st President, Dakka Mathias.
