Holy Banana, officialy the Supreme Meme Republic of Holy Banana is the biggest and the most populous nation in The Great Union of Memes and More. It borders two major powers in its region, The Great Lechia and Trash Cans and Butter. Holy Banana is a home to the Groundhog which is also its national animal, although it does not appear on any of the national symbols. The country is famous for its extensive mining industry which has caused a major decrease in the enviromental health of the region. The nation is also known for its people who in spite of short lifespan, are enjoying memes more than in any other nation.
Holy Banana was inhabited by many diverse nationalities until the establishment of the Holy Empire, when most foreigners were expelled or left the country. The Holy Empire did not last long as only six months after its establishment, it was overthrown by a revolution and the Holy Emperor fled to another country in the region. The Provisional Government could not decided that the country should become a republic, but after some time it turned into a dictatorship disguised as a presidential republic. The current government of Holy Banana enacted a number of reforms, both social and administrative, which improvemed lives of most Bananans and changed the country. Holy Banana's government has also repealed most of the restirctions on corporations which led to a drastic improvement of the economic situtation in the country. Social-wise, the government consideres itself as national conseravtist, although many oppositionist call it fascist.
Currently, Holy Banana has the biggest economy and economic output in its region, the most profitable sectors being insurance sales and mining.
