The 8th Supreme Court was appointed by Secretary South Miruva and confirmed by citizens in individual confidence votes. This consisted of three Justices, and each served a three-month term from 22 December 2017 to 22 March 2018. The final members of the 8th Supreme Court were Llorens, Rathfarnham, and VegemiteIsGross.
Libertasnia stepped down due to personal reasons and was replaced on 24 February by Llorens.
This was the first term where Justices did not serve concurrently as voting members of the General Assembly, following the passing of the Judicial Separation Act, which completely separative the judicial and legislative branches of government.
