The Principality of Blueacia (Blueacian: Prinsdom Blauasia) is a tiny island state in the Pacific Ocean.

The Principality of Blueacia has been around since its independence from the Staynish-Caltharus Empire on March 26th, 1970. It is the smallest country in The East Pacific, at just 50 square kilometers. The small island state is known for its low taxes and lots of casinos. Due to this and the weather Blueacia is a well visited holliday spot not only by the rich and famous but also by the normal people. The most famous of these opened on the 25th birthday of the first Prince of Blueacia, Harm Bianchi-Lefèvre, and was the first casino to open its doors in the country. After his death on the March 5th, 2001, the Casino renamed itself the H.B.L. Casino in honour of the first Prince.

History

Pre-Colonial times

there is not much known about this small island before the colonization, even the people of Staynes who found the island did not really know what to do with the island.

Colonial Times

When Staynes discovered the small island they utilised it for two things; a trade outpost with its greatest ally at the time, and a military fortress. In the later two centuries, the Empire used it for training soldiers in different terrains and temperatures. This continued up until the 1950s, when several billionaires persuaded the local authorities to convert the island into a holiday resort, saying that Rosamund Island posed a much better area for a military base. By 1960, the island was almost completely converted from a militarised outpost to the holiday island. The only reminders of the past is the big harbour which is used for the cruise ships and some small bunkers in the dunes looking over the beaches and to the ocean. A majority of Blueacians don't want to be affiliated with the military. This has resulted in a Blueacian Army of just 41 men, having a close alliance with Staynes for support.

Almost immediately after the Auroran Imperial War broke out, Galfridus wanted to return the island to its former glory. However, the people of Blueacia didn't condone the idea of war coming to their island. The independence movement grew very quickly over the very first months of 1970, and by the 29th of March the same year, the tiny island nation held a controversial vote for independence. The people of Blueacia voted with 58% in favour and immediately installed its own government to stop the Empire. The Empire didn't recognise the independence, and moved a portion of its ships to utilise the deserted harbour. The local government petitioned against the Empire and solemnly requested that Rosamund Island be used for the purpose instead. After some discussions between the island and the Empire, the request was granted.

The Empire condemned the recognition of Blueacia by other countries, believing it was still sovereign territory. On the 9th December 1991, the newly crowned monarch of the United Kingdom; Lambertus VII, believed that Blueacian independence was inevitable. He held a state visit, and by the end of the visit, held agreement with the local government, recognising Blueacia as a sovereign state, officially marking the recognition of the end of its colonial governance.

Independency

Geography

Blueacia is on the Aequator and is close to the international dateline, which makes it one of the first countries to experience the new year. Due to its proximity to the Aequator, Blueacia has a tropical climate. Being an island, the climate is more bearable due to the wind which is blowing everyday to the east.

Labia Cue, the only city in Blueacia, is home to 80% of the population.

Goverment

House of Bianchi-Lefèvre

The ruling dynasty of this small country is the House of Bianchi-Lefèvre. They came into power when the Treaty of Indepenece was signed between Lambertus VII of Staynes and Harm Bianchi-Lefèvre of Blueacia.
Prince Harm Bianchi-Lefèvre (1970-1999)
Prince Johannes Bianchi-Lefèvre (current Prince of Blueacia)
Giovanni Bianchi-Lefèvre (current Heir of Blueacia)
Palace of Blueacia

Unlike other principalities, the title of the Prince doesn't pass from the reigning Prince to his oldest son or daughter. The Prince instead selects his successor from his children, with age not playing a factor. This was demonstrated when Prince Harm selected the youngest of his five children to be his heir, not his eldest.

The common speculation is that Prince Johannes Bianchi-Lefèvre is going to abdicate within five years. After his divorce with Princess Gaetane D'Aubigné, it is said that he no longer considers himself fit for the position. Despite Gaetane losing her position of Princess due to their divorce, and the Prince being remarried. Johannes still reveres to Gaetane as Princess as if she retained the title.

The Parlement building of Blueacia

Parlement

The goverment of Blueacia consists of the Twadde Keamer, the legislative branch, and the Earste Keamer, the judicial branch. The Twadde Keamer houses 100 seats and makes the laws, and includes a cabinet of secretaries. The people of Blueacia vote for their representatives on the Twadde Keamer in a democratic election, who then vote on the members of the Earste Keamer. The Earste Keamer consists of 25 seats. Should a bill pass the Twadde Keamer, the members of the Earste Keamer examine the bill for inconsistencies between it and the constitution, and correct the ones they finds. After passing the Earste Keamer, the Prince gets the final say whether or not it passes. Should he approve, it is signed and ratified. If not, the bill is vetoed.

Ever since the change of the duration of the cabinet in 1973 at least one of the two parties KritsenUny or FFD has been in the goverment with this being the 4th time both are in the goverment. Before the change the 3 orriginal parties all got 33 seats of the 100 seats and the last one was filled by an extra of the then ruling party. After the three parties all had a change to lead the country for a year they knew the system had to change or the country wasn't a democartcy. After 3 years the first elections were helled and a cabinet could stay 5 years in office if they remained the mayority in the Twadde Keamer. out of the 11 cabinets after the change 6 cabinets didn't made it the whole way trough.

Foreign Relations

Countries in Aurora

in the treaties of the ACA you can find everything regarding to relations between the countries

Staynes

the relationship with Staynes is good but sometimes a little tense. this because They are the old rulers of the island and some Blueacians are still worried that Staynes might consider re-claming the island. Blueacia on the other hand is very dependent on Staynes, they are the most important partner in trade and military.

Caltharus

eventhough Staynes is Blueacia's most important ally, the people and goverment prefer to contact Caltharus rather than Staynes and to do business with Caltharus. this of course is because Caltharus never was the ruling country over Blueacia.

Millitary

Blueacian Army member

Due to the history of Blueacia, That the people didn't want to get involved in any wars anymore the country has not an active military. They have a ceremonial army of 44 men. The army is used to protect the Palace of the Royal Family of Bianchi-Lefèvre and some other important buildings. During the national hollidays the army is part of the security. During the National Parade of the Blueacian Combined Forces the army opens the parade. The number 41 is specially chosen for the army, and so the army won't get any bigger. It's the exact number of soldiers who can sleep in 1 hall of the baracks.

For the protection of the island Blueacia is relying on the Kuthernburg and Staynes with each having boats around Blueacia and a small army to protect the island itself.

Blueacia is a member of the PeaceKeepers Force of Urth or in short the PKFU. Blueacia's membership consists of financial aid to the orginazation and the countries they are opperarting in.

Population

Micahelm Rushcache, Blueacia's most famous racing driver

Blueacia sometimes is refered as the rich paradise island, this is due to lots of rich people from all around Urth having a secondary house on the Island. This can also be due to the climate because the island is so close to the Aequetor. Last reason it might be because of all the casino´s and other tourism attractions on the island which make the island a beloved spot to celebrate the hollidays.

The native population is only 86.584 in 2017.

main article: Blue Ocean Cruises

The Bluacian economy is extremely dependent on the tourism and gambling industries, which together comprise more than 60% of it. The remainder of the economy consists of fishing, farming and officials of the government.

Tourism

The HBL casino

Blueacia is Urth wide known for all of its casino's. Blueacia has approximately 15 casino's. The most famous and oldest casino is the H.B.L casino. it dates back from the year 1954 and was opened by de later Prince of Blueacia. The name at the grand opening was The National Blueacian Casino but the renamed the casino because of the dead of the first Prince of Blueacia Harm Bianchi-Lefèvre.

In Labia Cue there is also the famous leaning tower de "Aldehou". The goal was to built a really big church which could hold approximately 1500 people, with a tower which would be just over 120 metres high. But during the building process of the tower it started sag. The builders wanted to finish the tower and tried to built as straight as possible in the leaning tower. When to tower started to sag agian it wasn't safe to continue building any higher so the tower got his roof and now has a hight of 48 metres including the flagpole.

Language

Main article: Blueacian

Main article: Staynish

The local language of Blueacia is Blueacian. but the most spoken language of Blueacia is Staynish much because Staynish was a long time the only language which was spoken on the island. In percentages Blueacian is spoken 3rd most with only 3,8% behind ofcourse Staynish and 'other languages' which are spoken because of al the immigrants on the island. Blueacian and Staynish ofcourse look quite a bit the same. So much so that Blueacian people often jokingly say that Staynish is a dialect of Blueacian. some examples of the similarities:

The Staynish word: cheese and Blueacian word: tsiis are maybe written diffently but spoken its the same

some other words sound not excatly the same but close:

church and tsjerke

key and kaai

other words are completly different from other languages such as the Blueacian word earrebarre which is the Staynish word stork

Sports

Sports are a common pastime and means of entertainment, with racing being by far the most popular.

Blueacia has 2 professional football teams. both are in the Staynish leagues. ASC Velocitat in the Staynish Champions League, and SC Cambuur in the Staynish League Three

The Bluacian Car Championship

closely behind are swimming, diving and football.

Strangely, the people on this tropical island even enjoy ice-skating, recognized as one of the three most popular sports (behind racing and football.)

The Island Icehall
