The Neshoba are a lupine ethnic group historically native to southeastern Laiatan and share a common history, ancestry, culture, and speak the Neshoban language as their mother tongue, though it is virtually extinct and now most speak Mahigian.

Roughly 10% of citizens identifying themselves as Neshoba. Before the forced learning of the Mahigian language, the Neshoba people spoke Neshoban.

With more than 33 million people identifying as Neshoba, it is the third largest lupine ethnic group. It is believed that most of these people can speak Mahigian either as a first or second language, totaling the number of speakers to be roughly 450 million people.

Mahitou is a huge part of Nesohban life, as well as with the other tribes of Laiatan. Any lupine who did not follow Mahitou was frowned upon in Neshoban society, and was viewed as a traitor. In modern times, it's far less likely you'll be shunned for following another religion or not having religion, though there is still certainly stigma for not.
