The Parliament of Tarper, commonly known as the Tarperti Parliament or Federal Parliament, is the supreme legislative body in Tarper. It alone possesses legislative supremacy and thereby ultimate power over all other political bodies in the Tarper. The two houses meet in seperate buildings in Terraum but in case of emergency its seat is the Imperial Palace in the city of Munskeep, the former capital of the Tarperti-Sangheili État.

The Parliament is bicameral, consisting of an upper house (the Bundesrat) and a lower house (the Bundestag).

The House of Commons is a democratically elected chamber with elections held at least every five years. By constitutional convention, all government ministers, including the Chancellor, and the President are members of the Bundestag (ministers & Chancellor) and the Bundesrat (President) and are thereby accountable to the respective branches of the legislature. Most cabinet ministers are from the Bundestag, whilst junior ministers can be from either House.

The 2015 federal election occurred on 1 September and resulted in a hung parliament. The Socialist Unity Party under Maximilian Herzog, joined with the Labour Party in a government coalition. The final outcome of the election was a collaboration of the SU's 254 seats and Labour's 193 seats bringing the coalition over the 316 threshold for forming a government.
