Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019 (also known as MEHVEH 2019, VMV2019) will be the fourth edition of the music contest, which selected the Britonish act for the 73rd WorldVision Song Contest. The competition will be organised by Brityunik Vefecosoin Cairkovoin (BVC), Britonisea's public broadcaster which focused on home-grown shows rather than international ones. The competition took place in six weeks, five weeks of live shows.

As in 2017, the opportunity was given to the act which placed 3rd in 2018 to participate in the next edition, receiving a free-pass to the Grand Final. In 2018, this opportunity was given to Kelsey Banques who came third with 125 points (85 INT, 40 BRI). However, Kelsey Banques turned down this opportunity citing that she instead took the opportunity to represent Britonisea at WorldVision Song Contest 66 where she came 2nd with 129 points. Kelsey thought that this opportunity should be handed down. The opportunity was handed down to Giselles who came fourth with 120 points (69 INT, 51 BRI) to participate and they accepted. This will be the duo’s third Vha Mehlodhivestoile after they participated in 2016 and of course 2018.

This year, 25 acts will participate in Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019, though 24 of the 25 acts will have been split into three different Semi-Finals which are due to take place in Telm City, St Kings Bay and Burgendore for Semi-Final 1, 2 and 3 respectively. Due to the deal between BVC and BITC with Vha Mehlodhivestoile being on BVC but contributing to BITC’s WorldVision Song Contest, BITC officials played a major role in deciding the successful 24 acts along with BVC. This year, the Britonish Submissions stage opened within weeks of the Grand Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019 and lasted until September where music professionals who work for the broadcasters cut the list down to 24 Britonish artists. Similarly to 2017, BVC called for International Submissions on the 22nd of October 2018 which lasted until the 21st of December 2018 at 8pm. BVC said that none of the 24 Britonish artists are safe; if an international artist has a better song than a Britonish artist, they will ultimately replace them but did say that a maximum of eight participants across the board can not be from Britonisea.

In the end, BVC and BITC chose six abroad artists, with four of them being from abroad (Todlichebujoku, Izmedu, Togonistan and Besen) with rejected artists being from a plethora of nations which currently participate in either the WorldVision Song Contest or the World Hit Festival. Similarly to 2018, the songs were not based on soloists and groups but rather whether a song stands out in each semi-final (for example, if there are two songs with the same genre, they most likely would not be in the same semi-final). The artist reveal begun on the 3rd February 2019 and ended on the 17th February 2019 after having been delayed for two weeks. Overall, there are a total of 39 people in the 25 participating acts, with a record 5 acts being duets. The amount of debutants participating at Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019 is 20 which is the most since 2016 - when all acts technically debuted at the contest. This was partly done due to 10 artists last edition being returning artists. The average age of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019 participants is 28 years old, an increase of a year from the year before, with the youngest Semi-Final being Semi-Final 1 (27 years old) and the eldest Semi-Final being the 2nd Semi (30 years old).

On January 2, it was confirmed by BVC and the offical Vha Mehlodhivestoile website that there would be four hosts for Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019. At the Semi Finals, Elias Auvergne-Lancey and James Edwards would be the hosts while at the Battle Stage and Grand Finals, the two hosts will be Theo Rufus and Ella Estelle. All of the hosts have had experience either hosting or in the music industry of Britonisea.
