Imperial Square, today known as Federation Square. Location where junta leaders were put to death.

The Laiatanese Junta Trials (Laiatanese: Испытания Хунты, translated as the Junta Trials) were the trials involving members of the military junta that ruled Laiatan from July 8, 1880 to November 22, 1886. These trials included other members of the coup and the junta government of various ranks, in addition to high ranking members of the military that supported the coup leaders.

The coup masterminds were arrested by partisan forces trying to flee Volkgoroda as the civil war arrived in the capital and were then turned over to the more organized National Patriotic Front. As a transitional government was established, mass arrests of junta members and supporters of varying ranks occurred. Charges of high treason, insurrection, crimes against lupines, and conspiracy against the state were brought against the three leaders of the coup: Leonid Arzamastsev, Milorad Kosterlovovich, and Artyom Grebenshchikov. Charges of high treason and insurrection were brought against military leaders that backed the three coup leaders, including Konstantin Yevdokimov, commander of the Volkgoroda Guards. The trials occurred under heavy security at the Dyatlov Imperial Prison Facility.

The leaders of the coup: Arzamastsev, Kosterlovovich, and Grebenshchikov, were found guilty of all charges against them and sentenced to death. Yevdokimov was found guilty for the charges laid against him, and was also sentenced to death. The four were hanged in Imperial Square on July 3, 1887 with other junta members sentenced to death.
