Retiva, officially known as the Federal Republic of Retiva, is a federal parliamentary republic in southern Ministreyl. It is bordered by Penentayl to the north, Alvaeria to the south and has a maritime border with Brustin to the east. It currenty contains 34 states, and its capital and largest city is Pogarnova. Retiva has a population of over 1.8 billion people and covers an area of 6,245,900 km2, as well as stretching across 5 time zones (RTZ +0, +1, +2, +3, +4). It is currently governed by the Liberal Democratic Party.

Retiva is a federal, parliamentary, representative democratic republic.
Foreign Relations and military
Retiva has a network of 150 diplomatic missions abroad, limiting this mostly to member nations of the Ministreyl Union and compromising some to members of the international community. It maintains limited relations with the global community, although there has been diplomatic missions initiated by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs in an effort to be more engaging in international affairs, with it's biggest effort in doing so is proposing the formation of the Ministreyl Union.
Retiva maintains good diplomatic relations with multiple nations in the Ministreyl Union, with closest ties with Brustin; most of Retiva's imports comes from Brustin, whom it owes 8.8% to.
Military
Retiva maintains a fairly large military, with over 6 million active personnel and over $17 trillion NSD spent on defense each year. The Retivan Armed Forces is separated into 3 uniformed branches; the Retivan Army, Retivan Navy, Retivan Air Force. The RAF was formed soon after the formation of the Federal Republic of Retiva in 2030, to protect the nation's international and domestic interests, as well as repel any internal or external threats. The RAF is one of the most technologically sophisticated military forces in the world, with most of it's military arsenals made indigenously, along with Retiva's success in the field of technology, meaning that the weapons and such that the RAF has access to is truly cutting edge. Retiva's successes in various military operations around the world has proven the efficiency and effectiveness of the armed forces. However, there are various regional powers around the world which rival Retiva in both manpower and spending, and as such the federal ministry of defense pays a lot of attention to the rigorous training of the armed forces and prioritises quality. The federal government of Retiva current spends 14.7% of the nominal GDP on defense, and has the largest military expenditure in the Ministreyl Union.
Currently, Retiva's military dominance in the Ministreyl Union has allowed it to become a regional superpower, albeit still rivaled by Brustin's presence and influence in the region.
Economy
Retiva has a social market economy with a highly skilled labour force, a large capital stock, a near-nonexistant level of corruption, and a very high level of technological innovation. It is currently one of the largest and most powerful economies in the Ministreyl Union, being the 2nd largest economy in the union. The industry sector contributes to about 52% of the total GDP, with the service sector at 47% and agriculture at 1%. The official unemployment rate rests at 4.02%, however this also includes part-time employees looking for a full time job. The unofficial unemployment rate is 3.05%.
Pogarnova has one of the largest city GDP per capita in the region, as well as being the three main command centres of the region's economy, as well as being the largest financial center in the union. However, the Retivan economy is independent of the tourism industry due to the terrible state of environmental care, however lush rainforests remain intact far from the heavily urbanised sections of Retiva.
The automotive industry is one of the significant parts of the Retivan economy and employs more than 75 million people, and is able to generate over $752 billion worth of export to foreign countries both in and outside the union. The aerospace industry is the third largest industry in Retiva, generating over $956 billion dollars worth of income annually. The pharmaceutical industry plays a major, yet smaller role than other industries in the Retivan economy, however the industry holds more than a quarter of the shares in the global pharmaceutical expenditure.
Agriculture in Retiva is highly mechanised, intensive and extremely efficient, being able to produce more than 75% food needs with less than 1.2% of the labour force.
