Baptism of Iron III was a preliminary tournament held to give teams new to international football experience before World Bowl VIII. The 25 teams were drawn into 5 groups of 5 teams, with the top 2 teams from each group, along with the next best TWO 3rd placed teams, for a total of 12 teams in the playoffs.
- Groups UNE and OI were hosted by SaxerDome II
- Groups DEUX and QA were hosted by Rockport Stadium.
- Group TRAE was hosted by Ganja Vodka Stadium.
- Teams in BLUE advanced to playoffs.
