World Bowl IV was Hosted by Qazox. A record 30 teams signed up for the tournement. There was 5 groups of 6 teams, with the top 2 teams from each group, and the 2 best 3rd placed teams; advancing to the Playoffs. This tourney saw the introduction of ties into the qualifying rounds, instead of mandatory winners. In the playoffs, if there was a tie after regulation, there will be OT until one team scores. In the first round of the playoffs, the Qazox-Sarzonia game became the longest game in World Bowl history, taking 89 minute and 53 seconds of game time to complete. It was also the first double-overtime game in World Bowl History.
